The speed and quality of internet access becomes a primary choice for some travellers. Ookla, a website that tests speed and monitors global cities and locations with the best internet speeds, ranked them accordingly in a study dubbed the “Speedtest Global Index”.
Mobile internet and broadband speeds in March 2023 were analysed and ranked in 200 cities. The rankings consider latency as well as upload and download speeds. The Top 10 cities with the fastest mobile wifi are:

- Dubai, United Arab Emirates – download speed: 210.70 Mbps
- Copenhagen, Denmark – download speed: 198.92 Mbps
- Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates – download speed: 179.63 Mbps
- Oslo, Norway – download speed: 177.06 Mbps
